It is not certain whether Ann ever married, certainly was still single at the time of her father’s death in 1804, because the Will refers to Ann as ‘Ann Stedman’. Ann had two sons probably illegitimately : Benjamin b.1797 and William b. 1808. William went to Jamaica, settled and founded a dynasty of Stedmans there. He married Bertha Milbourn, the daughter of a Scottish Presbyterian Minister.
